Join Us

We’d love to have your family and kids join us!

Registration for the 2025 Season closes March 28th.

All the information you need is outlined in the slideshow and the page below. If you still have questions, email us, and we’ll reply ASAP.

Our spring kit order HAS CLOSED. If you do sign up, you’ll be able to order your Devo kit during our summer kit order. Even if you miss the kit order, we do a big swap meet at our Spring Kick-off event and during the first couple of practices. There is a good chance there will be a kit available that another Devo rider outgrew.

Once DEVO starts in mid-April, we do not allow new riders to join until the following season.

A Few Things We Require

A Basic Mountain Bike

You need only a basic mountain bike with brakes and a few working gears. Without that, your kid will struggle to enjoy riding.

The good news is that you can ride this for cyclocross. And if your kid is interested in riding on the track, a bike rental is included in your fees.

We recommend taking your bike for a tune-up at Bicycle Garage Indy now to get ahead of the spring rush. They are a long-time sponsor of our Midwest Devo. If you join our team, you have access to discounts to help purchase and maintain your kids bike only.

Helmets

We always wear a helmet…always.
No helmet = no ride.

Not all helmets are created equal, and just because they meet CPSC standards does not necessarily make them good helmets for what we do. If a helmet looks like a toy, it probably performs like a toy.

Make sure it fits well and is adjusted properly. Our coaches or your local bike shop can help ensure you get a properly fitting helmet.

It’s worth spending a bit more for a good helmet. Helmets with MIPS are proven to be better at protecting a rider’s head if you’re looking for a recommendation from us.

Lights

Lights are the MOST effective way of reducing accidents.

We require tail lights when venturing out on any paved or gravel road and public greenway, and also highly recommend a headlight for increased visibility and safety.

High quality, front and back, USB rechargeable, flashing modes, designed for daylight visibility, always charged, always on.

what you get for your membership

The cost of a 2025 Devo membership is $325, and that includes:

  • Small Group coaching from April to November

  • Kit Store credit for one complete kit (jersey and bibs)

  • Custom team water bottle

  • Personalized stickers for helmets, bikes, etc.

  • Full track access (practices and races) at the Major Taylor Velodrome

  • Rental bike to ride on the track

  • One free mountain bike race registration - DINO - Brown County

  • One free cyclocross race registration - Devo Cross - ICX

  • National Championship race registrations

  • Race day support

  • Access to team cyclocross bikes - additional fee required

  • Team discount at BGI (30% off accessory items, 15% off bikes)

  • Volunteer coaches will receive opportunities for CPR, First Aid, and Concussion training sessions.

  • Team gatherings (Mountain bike camp, social rides, etc.)

Midwest Devo strives to keep the program cost low because we know cycling can be expensive. If you fully immerse yourself, the $325 team membership fee value is truly a $700+ value, not including the small group coaching.

How To Join

2025 Season Registration - NOW OPEN

We welcome any kid between the ages of 8 - 18 that has an interest in growing in their cycling abilities regardless of their previous experience and skill level. If your child can pedal a bike, there is a place for the beginner and the elite-level kid at Midwest Devo.
