  • There is no mandatory requirement for Midwest Devo riders to race their bikes.

However, we encourage all of our riders to TRY EVERYTHING. Racing, mountain bikes, track cycling, cyclocross, etc. Ultimately, about half of our team is dedicated to racing regularly. We want riders to stretch their comfort zones and try new things. We’re always there to support the process.

  • Yes!

We want to make sure that any kid that wants to be involved has the opportunity. Please email us at midwestdevotreasurer@gmail.com

  • You only need a basic mountain bike with brakes and a few working gears to start. Without that, your kid will struggle to enjoy riding.

The good news is that you can ride this for cyclocross. And if your kid is interested in riding on the track, a bike rental is included in your fees.

  • We have a small fleet of cyclocross-specific bikes for the youngest and smallest kids for the cyclocross season since these bikes can be hard to find. After your first year, we ask that you begin to search for a bike of your own so that the bikes can be used for new kids coming into the program.

We currently do not have mountain bikes for the kids to borrow. Our coaches can help you figure out how to purchase a used one, or our friends Bicycle Garage Indy will be happy to assist you with finding the right bike for your kid and budget.

Have a question we didn’t answer here, or you couldn’t find it on the website? Fill out our Contact Us form, and we’ll be happy to assist.
